What kinds of worlds are we building, and who, or what, gets to exist within them?

Part of Thinking in Public, Synergy City's series of conversations taking place across public spaces and amongst the artworks, this talk brings together artist Stine Deja (Last Survivors), sculptor and installation artist Silke Riis (whose practice explores transformation, mortality, and speculative evolution through ephemeral materials), and moderator Natasha Greenhalgh, for a conversation about ecology, speculative futures, and the role of art in imagining alternative ways of living.

Taking place amongst Deja's monumental tardigrade hybrids in Park Frankendael, the discussion explores climate conscious artistic practice, sustainability in public space, and the power of temporary art to create lasting cultural impact.

Thinking in Public extends Synergy City's vision of Amsterdam as a living exhibition, using each artwork as a starting point to explore bigger ideas around public life, participation, and the futures we imagine together.
