Built entirely from discarded plastic bags, Museo Aero Solar transforms everyday waste into a large-scale inflatable structure shaped collectively through public workshops, gathering moments, and shared making across the city. Throughout the summer, participants are invited to contribute used plastic bags, join workshops, and take part in the gradual construction of the evolving artwork.

Beginning in June, plastic bag drop-off points will appear across community and cultural spaces throughout Amsterdam, alongside group collecting activities taking place in different neighbourhoods. The collected bags become the raw material for a living archive that is both a social sculpture and an embodied collective journey. The project and its message grow through shared making. It builds awareness around environmental issues and encourages social and collective responsibility for our shared future.

Rooted in ideas of ecological responsibility, collective care, and sustainable futures, Museo Aero Solar unfolds through simple acts of cooperation, conversation, and imagination. The project brings together art, community, and environmental awareness through simple collective actions: cutting, taping, layering, drawing, and assembling. The workshops are hands-on, open sessions where everyone is welcome to contribute in whatever way they can. No prior experience is needed, and children are warmly invited to participate.

Throughout July, August, and September, workshops and public moments will unfold during Synergy Light, Synergy City, and Synergy Art Festival. The completed Museo Aero Solar structure will culminate in a final public presentation in September (location TBA).

More information and programme details are coming soon.
