During this cheerful workshop, you’ll discover how to make your own instrument to extend your voice! Frogs are nature’s wild sound designers: with their clever vocal sacs, they use resonating skin to amplify and shape their calls, helping their voices travel through the busy sounds of nature so they can find and recognize one another. Artist Myra-Ida van der Veen is inspired by these talents and takes you into the world of vocal-sound experiments. Together, you’ll work with different materials to extend your voice.
At a large craft table, you’ll build your own kazoo. An instrument that can give your voice a frog-like boost. Once your masterpiece is finished, you’ll set off to send and receive Morse-frog messages with your friends. Which vibrations make your kazoo the most fun?
