Last Survivors explores the fate of humanity in a world shaped by extreme environmental conditions and rapid technological evolution. The project draws on speculative research questioning whether human biology could be enhanced, such as by integrating tardigrade genes to increase resistance to radiation and other harsh forces. From this premise emerges the possibility of a new, hybrid life form.
With a playful and humorous approach, she creates monumental figures that merge human bodies with the resilient qualities of tardigrades. These hybrid creatures suggest an evolutionary leap, organisms designed to endure the most hostile environments on Earth and beyond.
